PHASE 1.2: The Williamsburg Trilogy / Constructing a character

Who? What? Why?

Reality and Dreams.

His life has recently changed.

Despite his young age, he just moved from Europe to the US. If you ask him, he won't say that he's gone chasing the American Dream. He simply just got a job offer he couldn't refuse.

Moving accross the Atlantic leaving friends and family behind isn't the easiest descission ever made.

Success is a criteria for him. Everyday he commutes from his new place in Willamsburg to Manhattan. A short distance trip with the subway. The trip is always hectic. Every morning, he and every Brooklyn living Manhattan working citizen crosses the Willamsburg Bridge. The subway is buzzing of life. All kinds of different people are on the subway on their way to their own distiguished day.

The streets of Midtown Manhattan are packed. You have to watch your steps and keep your head in the game to get through alive and sound. He's still alive. Indeed. He's doing great.  Despite the fact that he's a newcommer in the huge metropolis, everything seems to go his way.

This is his new reality. This is his life.

One might think that due to a time stealing job and carrer, there are no time and energy to just relax and take a moment to do whatever you want to and desire.

He has his own dreams and desires.

He likes his current life. He's doing great and success is part of his everyday. Especially at work.

But he dreams.

Living in Willamsburg close to the huge New York City is worlds apart from what used to be his everyday back home in Europe. It takes time to adjust the new surroundings. The abscense of his save enviroment with friends and family is actually being missed.
What if, one day, his new life in Williamsburg could develope and evolve into something similar to the old days.

The old days where friends and family got together and enjoyed each others presence. The old days where time for relaxation and quietness was close to grap. The old days where playing, listening, and feeling music was a great part of his life.

Music.
Music connects people. It brings people together. It gives a common ground. And it definitely allows you to be who ever you are.

Music is his secret passion. It gives him what he needs when he needs it.

This is his dream.
