Model Studies

Exploring ideas.

Exploring how the parasite parasites the existing building.

The exterior structure of the parasite infiltrates
the interior of the existing building.

The parasite reconfigure the space. Creates another structure.
Another atmosphere.

The materials of the structure are thought as panels
that either reflect, project, break, multiply,
shift the inflow of light.
Every structure in every room will be configured differently
to obtain a diversity in every space.

Depending on the materiality of the infiltrating parasite,
the conditions in the room are aggressively changed.
Light shapes the room in a whole new way.
Light from outside is projected, reflected into the room.

The intention of the abnormal geometric structure with the transparent panels are to break/reflect/diffuse the inflow of light to the interior space behind the structure. Furthermore, it is creating the illusion of a parasite stuck on the existing facade.

The parasite both functions as programmatic
parts and circulation.

The parasite wraps around the building from West to East. Functions both as circulation and programmatic parts.

On the East-facade, the parasite is
infecting/infiltrating the existing building with
structures that are connected to
the interior space behind them.
